When your best friend gets engaged and you’re in the wedding industry - it’s kind of a big deal. Years ago my high school best friend, Sarah and I reconnected. For a good time I was hearing about her boyfriend and at that time, she already knew this was the man she wanted to marry. Naturally I made it my mission to hang out with him asap and as much as a could. Does anyone else have a hard time breaking this wall down with their friends sometimes? Maybe it’s the boys not wanting to be judged or they just want to be with their guy friends? I don’t know. But for some reason it seems to always be a little difficult am I right? And now Nicky knows I’m the funnest so theres that!
So once I finally got in to Sir Nick’s busy schedule, I was absolutely in love with him - that is in love with him for my best friend to marry. Passed the test.
Years later when he started planning his proposal, I was so honored to be included in the planning process. It was one of the hardest things holding back as a creative, but I wanted this to be about him and his woman. So with just a tiny bit of help from me - and lots of photographs he surprised his bride and made (to date) the best night of her life!
I loved, loved being able to capture this for now, two of my best friends! XOXO
Living in Paris, these two souls have a thing for history, architecture, and beauty. So when we booked their engagement in Southern California, my first suggestion was to shoot at the San Juan Capistrano Mission.
The perfect backdrop for the effortless affection they had for each other. Here are just a few from their shoot!
I got to shoot these two adorable human beings this year. Shot on my rooftop (finally!!) the results are just so beautiful. Here are some highlights from up above and also from within the confines of my studio.
Emily was a friend of mine in high school, when she reached out to me about shooting her wedding I was super excited about it! Meeting her fiancé over coffee and discussing her visions for their big day was completely full circle from giggling over boys between classes.
I am so honored to capture their sweet love story. Seeing the laughter and happiness shared between the two was a constant reminder that I love what I do. Below are some of my favorites curated. Enjoy.
I had shot Korryne's pictures when she graduated from college. Then, after shooting her cousin's wedding, where she happened to be the maid of honor, Korryne and her mama reached out to me about doing her own wedding! Nothing makes me happier than when clients come to me repeatedly. It means they love my work and trust me!
Turning out to be the most laid back bride-to-be ever along with her super chill fiànce, Korryne and Keller showed up for their engagement session on the most beautiful overcast day in laguna. I love shooting on these type of days. I can't help but see these two as characters in a most intense love story.
Mikaylah was at a coffee shop, when mutual friends called Evan telling him there was this cute girl he needed to meet. They fell in love. Coffee + friends could there not be a more amazing set up. These two are absolute salt of the earth and there love for each other was glowing when I met them for their engagement session. With their wedding just around the corner, I wanted to share this beautiful story.
I can't wait so shoot their wedding!
